this post includes 55 icons! i've really been busy procrastinating ... er ... studying for finals. I've got Labyrinth and LOTR for ya today. The LOTR are mostly really simple icons playing with basic layer and color effects. The Labyrinth one's include a study of sorts where I messed around with different effects and possibilities of a single base image. I got some interesting results. this will definately be my last post before christmas, finals and all are coming up. *tear* remember the rules!

I'm on a roll here. I think I should probably mention to people that even though this is my first time making icons, I have had some formal computer graphics training. Unfortunately it was in photoshop and I'm using GIMP now because Photoshop is not something I can afford right now. Anywho, I don't think that this is the place for chatting and even if I do chat people probably won't actually read this.

I am looking for affilliates. I think it might be a part of a desperate attempt to legitimize this place. I'm a little to shy to ask anyone directly as of yet as I don't really have any sort of repute built up, but if you want to affilliate with me, just reply in the most recent post and I'll get back to you asap.

now onto the icons. This isn't quite like the doozy of last post, but I feel like most of these icons are of a much higher quality. I'm really getting into the swing of things now I think.

this is my mission statement:

I was looking around various livejournal communities one day and noticed a distinct lack of icons from the movie labyrinth. I mean, they definately were there, but they did not exist in the quantities that I was looking for, nor did the bulk of them appeal to me. I knew that something had to be done, so I downloaded Gimp 2.2 and with the help of some handy dandy tutorials I was off!

I am still looking for a good site to host my icons and I haven't done any major website building for many years and the world of html has changed a lot from my day. (Am I and old 'un? perhaps. or maybe that just relates to your definition of old)

Though this site was intended to rectify the need for labyrinth icons, it will not solely be dedicated to that fine movie. I intend to post icons from other fandoms,.. including but not limited to, LOTR, Utena, POTC, Harry Potter, and Lost.
